Christians, what did Jesus mean by this Scripture?

At the time jesus said these words the Law of Moses was still operative. The law required animal sacrifices for the sins of each individual. Jesus was preparing his disciples for the end of the law & also the ending of sacrifices because he was to be the final sacrifice offered up to god in behalf of the sins of repentant ones. As for the righteous & sinners, those who recognized that they needed redemption for their shortcomings would be more receptive to accept Christ as the lamb who removes the sins of the world, but those who considered themselves righteous would be more unreceptive thinking that their way of showing worship needed no adjustments. This can also represent the sinners/sheep-like ones and the righteous/goat-like stubbourn ones.
