Does anyone know what snake this is?

Why are two "Einsteins" saying it is a mud snake? It does not look anything like a mud snake nor are they found anywhere close to Kansas City. It is without a doubt a rat snake. Fox snakes are a type of rat snake. It is either a brightly colored western fox snake or an intergrade of fox snake and black rat snake. The patternless head and size makes me believe it could be the intergrade I mentioned.
